Toyota Starlet History

Toyota Starlet is a small automobile manufactured by Toyota Motor Corporation, Japan from 1973 to 1999. At first Starlet is a more expensive version of the Toyota Publica, and called Publica Starlet.
Actual Starlet (Publica nameless) was launched in 1978 in the form of 3 and 5-door hatchback.
Large market for the Starlet are Japan, Indonesia, Central America, and some European countries such as the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, and Greece.
After Starlet discontinued in 1999, replaced by the Toyota Yaris.
Publica Starlet 40-Series (1973-1977)
Publica Starlet was first made in the form of a 2-door Coupe. 4-door sedan model comes a few months later. The model is similar to the Toyota Corolla, but smaller. Machines are available is 1000 cc and 1200 cc. Trim levels in Japan were Standard, Deluxe, Hi-Deluxe, ST, and SR.
Starlet 60-Series (1978-1984)
